Trigger Input The ProHold family of
products has uses beyond supplying music to hold buses. We
include a simple stereo mini jack that provides a
dual-function trigger input that gives these units added
flexibility. Trigger the one-time play with a momentary
contact closure to have the ProHold play an entire message one
time and stop. Additional contact closures that happen during
the message play are ignored. This is a great feature for
museums, promotional displays, and security announcements. The
ProHold can also be triggered then stopped during message
play. By closing the trigger contacts and holding them closed
for more than 5 seconds, the ProHold will stop the message as
soon as the contacts are opened. The next trigger will start
the message from the beginning. This makes the ProHold ideal
for message and information lines like movie time-tables since
the message stops as soon as the caller hangs up. By using the
TAMB telephone interface module to interface the ProHold to
analog ring-up lines, you can create a simple and effective
telephone info line. The ProHold also provides a status
indicator line from the trigger connector that provides
feedback to external equipment as to whether it is in the idle
mode or playing a message. 1-Watt Output All ProHold models
provide a 1-watt output. This connection will power any 8-ohm
speaker with up to 1-watt of audio power. In many
applications, this is plenty of power for an announcement to
be heard. By using the 1-watt output and the trigger input, a
self-contained announcement system for applications like the
end of moving walk ways (continuous play messages) or museum
displays (push to play) can be created. Bogen's ProHold
